The Latin American Music Festival is an international interdisciplinary festival created to elevate the classical repertoire written by Latin American composers or composers inspired by Latin American music and culture. Our mission is to mentor emerging artists through competitions, masterclasses, seminars, workshops, and recitals to enrich their musical education through Latin American music. Along with the underrepresented community, LAMFest supports traditional Latin American music and instruments such as the traditional Son Jarocho music from Veracruz, Mexico.
Since Its Inception In 2018, When It Co-Sponsored The Long-Awaited Return To Boston Of Legendary Composer/ Conductor/ Guitarist, Leo Brouwer, LAMF Has Collaborated With A Wide Range Of Boston-Based Institutions, Including The New England Conservatory, Northeastern University, The Museum Of Fine Arts Boston, The Rivers School Conservatory, The New Arts Center Of Newton, And Carriage House Violins, Among Others, To Bring Together An Exceptional Faculty Of Sought-After Teachers And Performers Offering Individual Lessons, Masterclasses, Workshops, And Public Performances Both Online And In Person In The Greater Boston Area.
